Kitchen Respray in Ireland

A new colour on the doors you have, in one to three days, for a fraction of a new kitchen.

Free, no obligation. One local fitter prices it, not five.

Short answerA kitchen respray costs €700 to €1,000 for a small kitchen and up to €2,000 to €4,500 for a large one with an island. It takes one to three days on site.

What a kitchen respray is

The doors, drawer fronts and end panels are taken away or masked, cleaned, sanded, primed and sprayed in a new colour, then hung back with new or old handles. The carcasses, worktop and layout stay. It's the fastest way to make a kitchen look new.

What it costs

JobTypical priceWhat moves the price
Respray, small kitchen (up to 10 doors)€700 to €1,000About a day on site. Solid wood, painted wood and most MDF doors take it well.
Respray, 10 to 20 doors€1,250 to €2,000One to two days. The number of doors and drawer fronts decides it.
Respray, large kitchen with an island€2,000 to €4,500Two to three days. The island's end panels and a tall larder wall add to it.

Which doors can be resprayed

  • Solid wood and painted wood: yes, the best results.
  • MDF, painted or vinyl-wrapped: usually, once the wrap is sound and keyed.
  • Foil that's peeling or lifting: no. Replace those doors.
  • High-gloss acrylic: ask. It needs proper keying and primer.

How long it lasts

A good sprayed finish with a hard-wearing topcoat lasts years in a family kitchen. What shortens it is poor prep: grease left on the doors near the hob, or edges not sealed. Ask the sprayer how they degrease and what topcoat they use.

What it can't fix

A respray changes the colour, not the layout or the worktop. If the carcasses are swollen from a leak or the doors don't close, respraying them is money wasted.
